The power of the mind is unreal.

With a determined mindset and/or prior experience to derive confidence from, humans regularly push perceived boundaries.

I write regularly about resilience and how our mind can override sensory signals from our body to persevere.

Pain is a mental state.

Fatigue is a mental state.

Feeling hot or cold is a mental state.

Essentially any perceptually negative thought pattern is derived from and perpetuated by mental states.

It is simply a decision to listen to messages from our body regarding whether or not to respond.

There can be many benefits to this knowledge. We are able overcome significant adversity of any kind when urges, conditions, or symptoms don’t control our behavior.

There can also be drawbacks.
