"But I can tell you, in our messiness, you will find immense love. A passion for seeking knowledge, a deep faith in things larger than ourselves, a desire to laugh and play, an appreciation for good food and drinks, and children who are treasured simply for their souls."
I often see only the mess at our house and perceive the amount of work need to puts things orderly. The above is absolutely whats underneath the messiness. Described and framed with love. Thanks for sharing this description of your home!
Thank you David! In keeping with the theme, I often have to remind myself that when a church is in the midst of active worship, it doesn’t look orderly. I like to think our homes can be reflective of that too: lives being lived and love being shared abundantly. It’s a helpful reframe for those of us who like things orderly! 😅😊
Im far more comfortable with the choas, than my bride. I often tell people your welcome here any time but its our home not a museum....We live here and our act of worship (sticking with your theme) is as you describe very messy at times. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Weve had a random goat, chicken and once a baby pig make services here....I promise we are clean people. But the kids struggled to show the door a few times...

This. Every word, exactly as you framed it.
(I'm not adding anything more because it speaks for itself. Except to say, damn my friend, you are as talented as you are wise and compassionate. ❤️)
Thank you my sweet friend. ❤️
Beautiful. Forced me to step back, calm my mind, take a few breaths and be thankful.
Thank you Marshall! I love that. Those moments are small but necessary and I feel honored that you did that here. ☺️
A moving piece and a beautiful way to frame the home.
Sweetness. Not feral, but joyful with space to explore and play and learn.
Bread just a little brown simply adds crunch and asks for another pat of butter.
Thanks Stacy! I’m a firm believer that an extra pat of butter can cure a multitude of ills. ☺️
There is no shame in butter!
