OK, I would think after 15 days of doing this, less a couple days when I was sitting in an aluminum cylinder, I would be able to get my legs further up. No joy! In fact, I’m really not sure what is constraining me, whether it’s hamstrings hip flexors, my feeble brain or what. Do you have any suggestions on improving the ability to get your legs more vertical from a lying down position?

Are you able to get your legs vertical by placing them against the wall while laying flat on your back? Try that and feel where the tension is.

Not even close. Answer: screaming hamstrings. I guess I’m not surprised

Try just standard RDLs and then unweighted for mobility/flexibility. You’re an exceptional athlete regardless of your exceptional age. We all have limitations for various reasons. If I’m half the man you are in 40 years, I’ll be proud

Oh Kyle, you’re delusional. When I do the core challenge plus all the recommended add-ons that you prescribe I realize what a wimp I am. Scott Shetler‘s current post about strength as you age has some great points. I can dead lift 450, and hold a plank with a 45 pound plate on my back for five minutes ;) BUT, your core trio kicks my butt. I’d rather breeze through that than deadlift 450. Some Burpee‘s would be nice too😅

God only knows the upcoming shoulder surgery is going to do to my fitness. Thank God there are, “No excuses!“

I do single leg RDL’s frequently.. Holding a kettlebell, I can touch the kettlebell to the ground. Probably too much cycling and too much hiking. Thanks for the tip on the test

This looks great. From your discussion I’m getting the sense you suggest we combine this with the ab stacker and trunk transformer. Can’t wait to try this in the Economy (aka sardine) class aisle returning from Europe. Shoulder surgery 14 August may slow me down. Does that sound like an excuse?😩

I’m not suggesting everyone combine with the other two workouts, but I am suggesting you do it…

Love it, looks tough! Haha am I guaranteed abs by the end of summer? 😂

Haha it’ll definitely help! My abs never appeared until I started being more intentional with what I consumed and when I consumed it. I think you’re pretty dialed in there so maybe a month of an ab challenge will start opening up your six pack! Haha

Looks like a crusher pool deck workout. Great session, Kyle.

Appreciate it 👊🏻. I just did it earlier paired with the Ab stacker and trunk transformer ones I had put together previously. Feels like the end of mma practices when we would do 1min alternating rounds of body shots on each other.

Not sure I could manage any of these but I’m certainly going to give it a go! Beautifully explained by the way! ❤️❤️❤️
