One of the things I appreciate most about you is your ability to make challenges feel attainable. It may sound basic, but it's actually pretty rare. You have a knack for peeling back the layers of “how to get started” and “how to reach the goal,” making it all feel doable. I find myself wanting to "do" more than "think about doing," which isn't always the case. Always grateful to you for breaking it down in a way I can apply it.
The benefits of being simple-minded… haha. Thank you very much Erin. This feedback is exactly what I’m striving for and coming from you makes it that much more meaningful considering you do the same thing to me regularly as a parent.
Great stuff. I never looked at it this way. To build a habit easier build the skill first. What an awesome idea. I've had a few head injuries and a stroke and habits are something I have issues with but if I work on the skill first I think it will be easier for me to create the habit. Thank you.
Appreciate the feedback. I’m all about simple solutions. Has worked well for me and the people I’ve worked with. Best of luck to you in recovering from those setbacks 👊🏻
The four stages of competence model is an excellent way to unearth realms of ourselves we may not even be aware of yet. And then the begins—habit formation. The fact you are willing to do 500 squats in under 5 minutes says something about your tenacity, Kyle. Excellent post.
Great post Kyle--I took away from this the importance of focusing not on rote memorization of a set of mechanical activities, but on cultivating a skill, that sense that my body and mind know what to do and will get there with time.
This is such a good reframe, Kyle! Habit formation is such a big thing, and it's very helpful to have the "atomic" part of it in such an accessible format. Practice a skill fro one month is more accessible than "develop so and so habit forever." Thanks for writing this!

Thank you, if it doesn't challenge you it doesn't change you right.
100% 👊🏻

Appreciate you brother. Only 300 under 5 minutes though. I’ll leave the 500 to you 👊🏻
Haha that was a typo... I will happily watch you crush 500 from the sidelines.
Negative. Haha

Love it. Thank you Dan
