I enjoyed this conversation so much I had to rewatch it to take notes. As someone who also speaks in segues and then circles back to make my original point, like Michael does here so engagingly, I wonder if that’s a polymathic trait? I love when systems thinkers think out loud like this, because it sparks my own neurons in multiple directions in a way I don’t think AI would ever be able to catalyze.
I’m very supportive about AI doing the scut work to allow us to sharpen and amplify our human edge. But (upcoming pun intended), no AI is going to mention their discomfort after a 20-mile bike ride while answering a question. That richness, the physicality, the lived experience, is exactly what I love about listening to or being in conversation with humans.
Would definitely love to hear more conversations like this as I feel like the “wisdom is always in the room” if you permit it to circulate under the right conditions - and this conversation showed how that flow emerges.
Awesome insights, and I think the multithreaded conversation is a function of systems thinking and polymathy. I describe it like having threads on all my fingers, and as we talk, we're weaving a tapestry of ideas. And sometimes I lose a thread totally. And yeah, as I realized I kept shifting, I felt I had to explain 🤣
Man… phenomenal takeaways. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. Hilarious point about talking about him mentioning his ass discomfort due to getting after it in the morning before our convo! Haha
😂 it’s the first thing I brought up when we were talking ahead of time. We probably discussed that masterpiece for 3 min before even introducing ourselves
This was super fun to watch. I loved when he lost the thread and then you worked together to pull it back through. That was funny and still impressive.
This resonates completely, my mindset..i need support to understand this, who I am. I am beginning to understand my reasoning, the pull to Stoic philosophy, “stoicism”. Thank you.
I loved the conversation. Also awesome that you have these on podcasts.
Right back at you man. Very enjoyable

I just want to say for those who may not have noticed it, Michael is the owner of a glorious beard.
Lol. The entire time recording I was thinking to myself that it's almost become something more than a beard. The lower half of my face vanishes!
It is more than a beard. The entire time I was wondering why you were not holding a spear and wearing a loin cloth.

I am also the odd one with nearly perfectly straight beard hair. It only has a minor wave to it vs. most who have curlier beards.
Mine grows thicker on my neck and has weird bald spots in it that looks like Christmas stockings on each side of my mouth…
Lol. I’m sorry for your loss! 🤣
I debated.....

That was @Michael Woudenberg’s way of checking to see if I was paying attention
I think you saved his butt. He had ‘that look’ 😉
😂👊🏻
Haha. I totally lost that thread and then panic blanked. If it hadn’t have been for Kyle…..
😂
