I hear my Assault Bike (aka The Bike from Hell) calling. I’m going to have to continue the Core Workout. It keeps my abs slightly sore and is slowly, and I mean slowly, improving my lower body mobility.

Yes brother! Crush it, or be crushed. I vote for the former.

I like the Impetus App for Tabata timing because I can customize the sequence well with a rotation delay between sets so my family can shift exercises.

I LOVE Tabata, a fun way to suffer in short bursts. 😂😁

I like how you frame Tabata as resilience training rather than just fitness, and it makes me wonder—how do you personally balance the drive for daily discipline with giving your body (and mind) the recovery they need to keep showing up long-term?

If my workouts cause me enough fatigue or soreness that I can’t show up in all ways for fam and other priorities, I need to dial it back.

It’s wild that today I can do workouts that would have shelved me for days when I was younger but that’s only because I’ve gradually built up to this capacity over time.

Recovery for me is primarily through proper nutrition and continued movement while I’m away and adequate sleep in the evening. When all those are somewhat dialed in, I’m able to show up daily regardless of workout

Indeed

Nutrition is a good recovery technique

Thanks for the insight

Excellent, Kyle. My son is a big fan of high intensity time-efficient workout routines and cool apps. I’m sending this to him now!

I'm in. Both my jump rope and boxing bag are dusty and lonely.

If you haven’t tried a weighted heavy jump rope, it’s an interesting variation. Depending on the weight you probably won’t be doing double-unders but your arms will cry.

But you won’t quit🤣
